SIMPLY SOUTHERN HOME DECOR IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!
If your furniture order was placed after June 14th, 2018, then your product is fully covered under our warranties. However, if you had furniture made before this date, then we are still here to help. If your furniture has any major defect, then we will gladly replace your product with a 100% new replacement. We want to ensure that you have the best quality furniture. This means we will not attempt to repair an issue from any furniture built before our ownership. For these issues, we will cover 100% of the cost of the new item. The customer is only responsible for shipping costs.
It is the client’s responsibility to inspect the furniture at delivery or pick-up. If a client contacts us about a problem after delivery or pick up, it is the client’s responsibility to get the furniture back to us to fix.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time. If we elect to cancel, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid toward the original purchase.
Our business model is building hand crafted, southern heirloom furniture with all of its unique qualities. Our furniture is made from solid wood making each piece unique in appearance. Because we use real wood and not engineered products, there are elements of the wood we cannot remove such as knots, knot holes, cracks and unevenness that occur naturally in wood. These are not defects, but natural qualities of real wood furniture. Also, there will be variations in the stain colors due to the grain of the wood. Again, this is a characteristic of wood and is one of the main reasons why real wood furniture is so beautiful. If you choose a light paint color, knots will sometimes slightly show through the paint color over time. Wood will sometimes warp slightly, and there is nothing that can be done to prevent it. It is just the nature of wood. Real wood is perfectly imperfect, and we love it. Natural wood reacts differently according to the environment it is in. Like a sponge, seasonal changes can cause the wood to retain or lose moisture therefore expanding and contracting. These natural changes seem to be intensified in very dry or humid areas and also when there are sudden changes in the climate. If your furniture seems wobbly, you can place a furniture pad underneath legs until the furniture adjusts to the climate and levels back out.
IF YOU ARE ORDERING IN PINE: Pine is a very soft wood that has a tendency to swell, contract, twist and crack. We can only insure a pine product for 6 months, because the wood will eventually do what it naturally does. Pine is great to use for table bases, but less sufficient for table tops. If you are looking for a farmhouse rustic feel, then pine is the choice for you. If you are looking for the longest lasting product, then we advise looking at our hardwood options such as oak, walnut and maple.
Should a piece of our furniture become structurally unstable, or if excessive warping or twisting occurs due to no fault of your own, we will repair or provide a replacement of the original item ordered. For warranty issues, we must be informed within 6 months of purchase.
Because all of our pieces are finished and built by hand, nothing is perfect. If you notice an imperfection in the paint or stain, please let us know at the time of pick up or delivery. If it is a mistake on our part, and not part of the rustic quality of your furniture, we will either repair or replace it.
Because colors appear differently in photos on the computer, the color of your furniture in person may vary slightly. This is beyond our control. If you want to be 100% sure about the exact color, we recommend buying one of our stain or paint samples. Since we allow our clients to choose their own paint and stain colors, it is the clients responsibility to make sure the colors match well in their home.
